IDI's main annual events are our Children's Dance Festival for KS2 children held in March in London, Manchester and Liverpool each year and our Early Years event for KS1 at the end of June.

TEACHERS' TRAINING

The IDI provides INSET for UK School teachers and youth leaders on a regular basis.

Our programme for Key Stage 2 for 2020 and 2021 is YELADIM ROKDIM 2020. Those who wish to obtain this programme should contact the IDI office. We held a training course on Thursday 22 October led by Ya'el Ya'akobi, our Children's Dance Consultant from Israel. This Zoom course was recorded because  of the Covid Pandemic and you can access both the Course and materials by contacting us. We intend to hold more in due course by Zoom.

The KS2 Dance festival has been postponed until at least March 2021.

We have just launched our new programme for "Dances for the Jewish Year" (see our Resources for Children page). While this material is targeted at younger pupils (Key Stage 1) it is suitable for all Primary (Elementary) School use and even for adults. We are having a special Training Course on Thursday 26 November from 17:00 to 18:30 UK time led by Susy Stone, former Head Teacher of Akiva Primary School and our UK Children's Dance Consultant. To register, you can book online by clicking HERE.

The KS1 Dance festival will be in June 2021.

Educators may register to obtain dance materials (audio, film, sheet music, dance notation & guidance notes for teaching) for our programme of Dances for the Jewish Year. Just visit the "Resources for Children" page to do this.
